Starnook

Starnook / Privacy policy

Starnook keeps everything on your phone.

Effective 5 November 2026 · Applies to the Starnook app (app ID com.cakapps.starnook).

The short version

  • No account, no sign-in, no ads, no analytics and no tracking tools.
  • Your progress and settings are stored only on your device.
  • The app does not ask for internet access, so it cannot send anything anywhere.

Who is responsible

Starnook is published by c’aK Apps, based in The Gambia. Contact: ckamilkapp@gmail.com or the contact form.

Data the app stores on your device

To work, Starnook keeps your progress in the app's private storage on your phone: your current level, the unfinished board, the look you chose, your hint count and the date of your last daily puzzle. This is never sent to the developer or to anyone else.

Sharing a finished level

If you tap Share, Starnook draws a picture of your finished level and hands it to your phone's share sheet. You choose which app receives it, and we never receive the picture. Nothing is shared unless you tap Share.

Backups

If your phone's system backup is on, your operating system may include this data in your own backup. That is controlled by your phone's backup settings and the platform's own policies, and the developer cannot see it.

Purchases

When a one-time unlock is offered, Google Play or the App Store handles the payment. The developer does not receive your payment details.

Permissions

Starnook does not ask for internet access. It has no access to your location, contacts, camera, microphone, photos or files.

Children

Starnook is a puzzle game for a general audience. It has no accounts, ads or data collection, so it collects nothing from children either.

Deleting your data

To delete all progress and settings, uninstall the app or clear its storage in your phone's settings. The developer holds none of it, so there is nothing to request from us. If system backup is on, a copy may remain in your own Google or Apple backup; you can manage that in your account settings.

Your rights

Because we do not collect or keep any personal data, there is nothing on our side to access, correct or delete. If you have a question, write to the contact address above.

Changes

If this policy changes, the new version will be published here with a new effective date. If Starnook ever starts collecting data or asking for internet access, this page will be updated before that version is released.
